The International Color Consortium was established in 1993 by eight industry vendors for the purpose of creating, promoting and encouraging the standardization and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform color management system architecture and components. The intent of the International Color Consortium profile format is to provide a cross-platform device profile format. Device profiles can be used to translate color data created on one device into another device’s native color space. The acceptance of this format by operating system vendors allows end users to transparently move profiles and images with embedded profiles between different operating systems. PTP S.R.L is an established multidisciplinary organisation that has active research groups in plant and animal molecular genetics, molecular biology and bioinformatics. PTP S.R.L operates a bio-incubator with 14 start-up companies and has a wide portfolio of projects funded e.g.: from the Italian Ministry of Research and Lombardy Region, the USDA, European Institutions and industrial sources. PTP coordinated the EC FPVI ABC Network of Bio-parks and is the partner in several EC projects in the biology and agri-food areas. The Statistical Genomics and Bioinformatics Unit develop and manage databases for large data sets. PTP runs a high-throughput molecular technology service platform and provides contract testing for companies and research organisations in the agri-food sector.

Prionics AG is a world leader in the field of farm animal diagnostics. It focuses efforts on meeting the needs of customers by providing a unique bundle of expertise and diagnostic solutions. While expanding the business along the food value chain, Prionics has successfully grown from a pioneer and global leader in BSE testing to a one-stop-provider for farm animal diagnostics, including diagnostic tests for many zoonoses. Our innovative diagnostic solutions identify infected farm animals reliably and quickly which helps to prevent diseases from entering the food chain, improving both food safety and quality and reduces costs substantially, for both animal and human health.
